Duplicate Denials: Compliance Matters

 

Palmetto GBA has taken steps to assure claims that have been medically reviewed are not subsequently submitted as new claims to bypass the previous medical review decision. In these instances claims will be denied as exact duplicates of a charge already submitted. If the provider disagrees with the initial medical review claim decision the claim must be appealed.
